Archives of Dust

Summary: Archives of Dust is designed to be local-first. We do not run our own analytics backend and we do not sell your personal data. However, third-party services used for ads and platform features may collect data as described below.

What data the app collects

We (the developer) do not directly collect personal data from you through a custom backend service.

The game’s core progress is saved on your device as a local JSON save file.

Third-party services

The app uses the following Apple and third-party services that may collect information automatically to provide their functionality:

Game Center requirement

The app requires a Game Center login for identity-related features (for example, syncing saves). If you are not signed into Game Center, certain features may be unavailable until you sign in.

Save syncing and encryption

If you use sync, the app stores one record in your private CloudKit database. The payload is encrypted on-device using a key derived from your Game Center identity and the app’s bundle identifier. Sync uses a last-write-wins strategy based on save timestamps.

Children’s privacy

This app is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a third-party service used by this app, please contact the relevant provider and/or the developer.
